Malawi Mapanga "AA" coffee is relatively new to the United States coffee market. However, excellent crops have been produced for over one 100 years. Coffee plantations began to flourish in the 1890's following the construction of the Shire Highlands Railway which sold the bulk of its land to coffee plantation owners and then profited from shipping their goods.
This single-origin coffee is grown on one of the finest estates in land-locked Malawi, Africa's smallest coffee growing country. The majority of Malawi's limited coffee production is purchased and consumed in Britain.
Carefully and meticulously processed and graded, Malawi Mapanga "AA" has a very limited production. We are excited to have sourced the rights to a limited supply, furthering our commitment to provide you the world's finest and most exotic coffees.
The cup characteristics of this coffee are typical of the best East African coffees. Malawi Mapanga "AA" has a full mellow body, a bright and crisp acidity, a wonderful fragrant aroma and a clean and polished finish.
